Overview

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Scholar) will equip you with the fundamentals of engineering, both technically and via communication skills. Faculty members who drive relevant and cutting-edge research will teach you how to apply this knowledge in real situations, preparing you to engineer the future.
 
Choose from a wide range of majors including biomedical, civil, computer and autonomous systems, electrical and electronics, environmental, materials, mechanical, mechatronic, mining, or telecommunications engineering and Internet of Things.

From second year, scholar students will also have the option to complete a double major. Combinations include civil and environmental, civil and mining, electrical and electronics and computer and autonomous systems, mechanical and materials, mechanical and mining, mining and environmental, mining and materials.
 
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Scholar) includes 12-weeks hands-on industry experience, either in Australia or overseas, as well as a range of industry projects and other career-ready learning opportunities.

Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.
In order to succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications. This is particularly important for degrees which have a strong basis in Mathematics or Science.


Compulsory Work Based Placement
This course contains a total of 420 hours of compulsory work-based placements, completed over 12 weeks (at 35 hours per week) throughout the degree.
