Overview

The Bachelor of Technology degree is for the future technologists who will build and secure the networks of the future (Cyber Network Security), bring about the 4th Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), inform and drive business solutions (Principles of Data Science), and develop new technologies drive efficiency in manufacturing (Advanced Manufacturing).

During your first year you will study programming, mathematics and electronics. You will then move on to specialise in either:

  • Industry 4.0 - study autonomous systems, IoT, big data mining techniques and implementation, and cyber security or AI (only available at Wollongong campus).
  • Cyber Network Security - study subjects in ethical hacking, communication systems, engineering design, electronics, digital hardware, web technology and signals and systems.
  • Principles of Data Science - you will study subjects in statistics, random variables, data mining, management, and programming.
  • Advanced Manufacturing - study crucial technologies as they drive productivity, enhance economic resilience and ensure global competitiveness.

This degree is for innovators and problem-solvers with an interest in developing skills across the fields of software and hardware to work in the industries of the future.

This course is not available at UOW Liverpool in 2025.
