Overview

Developed in collaboration with the Medical Imaging Service of Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD), NSW Health, and the University of Wollongong, you will learn to develop strategies for dealing with large volumes of medical imaging data collected through medical imaging technologies. Through this course you will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become an effective leader in data analytics for this profession.

During the course, you will study four core subjects:

  • Essential techniques and tools for applied analytics
  • Introducing medical imaging data for applied analytics
  • Investigative and diagnostic data analytics for medical imaging
  • Prescriptive and predictive analytics for medical imaging
  • This specialist degree introduces and develops real world, authentic and experiential learning. You will examine and gain statistical knowledge using visual analytics technologies specifically designed for applied medical imaging data analytics. Students will construct medical imaging data analysis reports related to big data medical imaging problems as they would in real-world medical environments and facilities.

This course is offered 100% online to suit working professionals, and is a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), which means that the total indicative course tuition cost to students is $4656.
