Overview

With 5.1 million Australian jobs at high risk of digital disruption and businesses competing in a data-driven global economy, occupations in data science, cyber security, IT management, health informatics, and software engineering and development are increasing in demand.

The Graduate Certificate in Computing provides a postgraduate introduction to computing for students without prior knowledge of IT and computing. It will allow graduates and professionals from a non-IT background to add to their current knowledge and skills set with a recognised qualification in computing.

The degree includes a selection of core computing and information technology subjects, related to programming, data management systems, project management and web development where students will develop skills in methods, processes and tools associated with the task of managing information technology, designing solutions and software development projects in an ethical and professional manner.

Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Computing, you may seek to continue your studies in the Master of Computer Science, which is professionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society.

See the course handbook for more information.
