Overview

Introduction to Academic Studies provides you with an opportunity to improve your academic English language skills to prepare you for your university study.  

The course will prepare international students for life in Australia. While it is designed to develop and refine a wide range of academic skills, there is also a focus on the social aspects of beginning a new life in a foreign country including excursion activities.

The academic skills covered in the course include essay writing, reading journal articles, communication and interaction in the academic environment through oral presentations, and research techniques.

There are 20 hours of tuition per week delivered over a period of 6 weeks.
