Overview

The Master of Supply Chain Management is aimed at those seeking to develop or expand their skills in supply chain management and key business functions of procurement and logistics.

Throughout this degree, you will learn how to implement a variety of strategies relevant to contemporary supply chains within organisations. Skills and capabilities are developed on topics such as forecasting, analytics, continuous improvement and logistics management.

Domestic students have the option to study on campus or via distance delivery mode. Distance refers to learning activities that do not require you to attend campus, but instead allow you to join pre-scheduled virtual classes.

For a two-year program, this degree can be combined with a second master's degree from Sydney Business School, UOW.

Fee subsidised places available

UOW is offering Commonwealth supported places (CSPs) for all of our postgraduate coursework degrees in 2025. This means the Australian government will subsidise your tuition fees by up to 75%. To be eligible for this fee subsidy, you must meet the following criteria: Be a domestic student, i.e. an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia or a permanent Australian Humanitarian visa holder.

A recognised bachelor’s degree in a Business, Engineering, Maths, or IT-related specialisation with an equivalent average mark of 50%,

A recognised master’s degree in a Business, Engineering, Maths, or IT-related specialisation with an equivalent average mark of 50%,
OR
Any Graduate Certificate or Diploma in a Business, Engineering, Maths, or IT-related specialisation with an equivalent average mark of 50%.

Other tertiary qualifications, combined with extensive professional work experience, will be considered.

  • Workload

    Full-Time Study Load

    As a full-time student, you can expect to commit around 48 hours of study per week. This includes class time and independent study. You may need to factor more time for examination study and practical work & placements.

  • Credit for Prior Learning

     

      • Students who have an offer for the Master of Supply Chain Management and hold a bachelor degree in a Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related area may be granted credit for up to 24 cp (four core subjects), reducing the duration to one year full time study.

     

      • Graduates of the Master of Supply Chain Management can progress to another select master's program and receive credit up to 36 cp into their new master's degree - so they can complete two master's programs in two years.

     

    • Graduates looking to progress to the Master of Business Administration will receive credit up to 18 cp into the MBA program if they meet the appropriate work experience entry requirements.

     

    If you have completed prior studies or relevant professional experience, you can request course credit or subject exemptions to reduce the duration and cost of your program.

    Credit for prior learning evaluates your previous study or work experience related to your chosen subjects.
