UOW traces its origins to a community fundraising campaign in the Illawarra more than half a century ago, providing the foundation for a technical institution that has grown into the world-class university it is today.
We have maintained a close connection with the community, sharing a vision of a brighter future.
With the UOW Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Scholarship, we aim to recruit and support the next generation of young, passionate leaders.
The scholarship offers generous financial assistance, networking opportunities with peers, and engagement experiences across campus. Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Scholars will be selected, and invited to apply based on high academic achievements and leadership potential, this is an invitation-only application process.
This scholarship is for you if:.
- You are an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or hold an Australian Permanent Resident or Permanent Humanitarian Visa.
- You are a natural leader, influencing and acting as a role model in your school and community.
- You have consistently demonstrated academic excellence and achievements throughout high school.
- You have big ideas and a desire to collaborate with others to bring them to life.
- You inspire others and strive to create positive change in your community and the world.
Invitations to apply for the scholarship will be sent in late September to select students based on their Early Admission application.
