- An original copy of your English language results (if applicable)
- A Study Abroad and Exchange Supporting Statement Form (PDF) completed by your home university
You will also be asked to submit your study plan as part of the online application. For more information on how to select the subjects you will study at Wollongong, please see Planning your Semester Program.

If you wish to live in a University of Wollongong residence then you MUST apply to UOW Living by the relevant deadline:
- 31 October for students commencing in February (please note this is earlier than the application deadline)
- 1 May for students commencing in July
You should apply for accommodation by the above dates to guarantee your accommodation placement even if you have not yet been accepted into the Study Abroad and Exchange Program yet. Applications can be made online.
STEP 3 - OFFER OF ADMISSION & RETURNING YOUR ACCEPTANCE
Your application will be assessed by the UOW Office of Global Student Mobility and you will be notified by email of the outcome of your application within two weeks of your application being received. Please note that the assessment process may take slightly longer during very busy periods.
Successful applicants will receive an Offer of Admission letter to the UOW Study Abroad & Exchange Program via email in PDF format.
How to accept your offer:
- Print and sign ‘Attachment A’ of your Offer of Admission letter (pages 5 and 6).
- Log into your Student Mobility Online application.
- Click on the task on your homepage- ‘Accept or Reject Offer’.
- Upload your signed ‘Attachment A’ as a PDF attachment and submit.
You must also make any required payments as outlined in your Offer of Admission letter (tuition, OSHC and SSAF). All international payments can be made to UOW through Flywire.
STEP 4 - CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT & VISA
The UOW Office of Global Student Mobility will send you an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) via email once you have accepted your offer and your payments have been processed.
You will use your eCOE to apply for your Australian student visa. Most students will be required to apply for a Student Visa subclass 500 (Non-Award).
Some students, depending on duration of study in Australia and citizenship, may be eligible to enter Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. To determine eligibility for the Working Holiday Visa and for all visa application procedures visit the Australian Department of Home Affairs website.
Depending on your country of citizenship, you may be eligible to lodge your visa application and be granted a student visa to study in Australia for up to 12 months online. Applications for student visas can also be made at your nearest Australian Embassy.
Students should contact the nearest Australian diplomatic office as soon as possible after receiving their offer, as medical checks and X-rays may be required. It is important to allow time for this.
