Overview
Our theme is focused on understanding the treatment needs and experiences of people accessing mental health and substance dependence treatment. We work in collaboration with a range of government and non-government treatment providers, with the goal of improving care across these sectors. A guiding principle of our research program is that our work should be highly applied and focused on improving client care. We have paid particular attention to ensuring that research is embedded as part of routine care and helps to inform practice.
