Cognitive assessments
We are not open to referrals at this time. As we are a training clinic our capacity to provide assessments can change from year to year. Due to the high demand for cognitive assessments, we are offering a limited number of assessments in 2024 for students (including school aged children) and people holding concession or health care cards. The waitlist will open on Monday 15th July; please phone the clinic on that date to obtain a copy of the referral form.
We offer cognitive assessments for the following:
- Specific Learning Disorder
- ADHD
- Cognitive Ability (eg. Intellectual Disability or Giftedness)
The assessment will be conducted across 2-3 appointments, scheduled in one-week intervals. The initial assessment interview (1-2 hours) is to gather background information and the reason for the assessment. The first cognitive testing session (~3.5 hours) involves completing several psychometric tests in one session. A second cognitive testing session is made and will be utilised if additional testing if required.
A feedback session is arranged after the report is complete (up to 6-8 weeks after assessment). Final payment must be made at this appointment.
We do not provide diagnostic assessments for Autism.
