Our researchers

Dr Jeff Kelleway

Jeff is a Senior Research Fellow in the Environmental Futures Research Centre at the University of Wollongong, specialising in the response of coastal wetlands to environmental change and their potential role in climate change migration. His research brings together elements of ecology, geomorphology and biogeochemistry, with Dr Kelleway and his group working in diverse settings across Australia’s coastlines.

Associate Professor Sarah Hamylton

Associate Professor Sarah Hamylton in the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Life Sciences (SEALS) has worked on management issues such as marine pollution, deforestation of mangroves and the establishment of marine protected areas, collecting and using information (particularly in the form of digital maps) to aid management decision-making in coastal environments. Sarah's research focuses on developing models to better explain and predict characteristics of tropical coastal environments which takes a broad international focus, including projects in Fiji, the Seychelles and Red Sea.

Associate Professor Sarah Hamylton will be presenting on Mapping, monitoring and modelling the coast: understanding past, present and future changes

Each presentation will last 15-20 minutes followed by an interactive Q&A session inviting the audience to engage with the researchers.
