We’re excited to announce that in January 2025, our Moss Vale campus will welcome its first cohort of medical students. The UOW Graduate School of Medicine aims to produce doctors for regional and remote communities.
Media release UOW Doctor of MedicineRegional scholarships
The below scholarships are just an example of the financial support offered to students at UOW Southern Highlands.
This scholarship is exclusive to students who applied to UOW via Early Admission and selected Indigenous Access Program (IAP) offer holders, from defined regional and remote areas across NSW.
This scholarship supports various students and is one way that UOW demonstrates our commitment to equity and diversity. Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students experiencing financial hardship and other educational challenges.
We understand how important scholarships are when making your decision to study overseas. At UOW we offer international scholarships for students looking to study. Most are available to students studying at Regional campuses.
The $3,000 Regional Kick Start scholarships aim to support regional students with resources and living costs during their first year of study and will make it easier to undertake their uni study close to home.
Studying close to home is helping Holly build connections
I wanted to stay in my hometown of Robertson and knew I also wanted to study face-to-face, so UOW Southern Highlands was the perfect option. I like that I can build local community connections with other students, local businesses and industry to help me pursue my career as an accountant.
Local trainees for local employers
Meet Dakota, a trainee at Harbison residential care, and a student at UOW Southern Highlands. Hear from Dakota and Harbison's Zach Hulm, as they share their experience of this fee-free traineeship which is fully subsidised by the NSW Government, including the benefits to local students, the community and Harbison's residents.
